Daddy's Boy

Austin will smile, laugh, and coo at my dear husband all the day long. However, for the woman who carried him for 9 months, gave birth to all 9 pounds 10 ounces of him and is up at all hours of the night to feed him...nothing. (I don't want it to sound like I am the only one that is up. Lobo gets up with us sometimes but since I'm nursing I have to be the one to feed him of course.) It's a rarity if I can get him to smile. I've got myself a Daddy's boy. Anyway, rant over.

Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks:

We've already got his future set.

He was striking a pose in his sleep. Maybe he'll be a first round draft pick and a model.

He was smiling at his Daddy, of course.

Like Father, like son

Sacked out in Christmas PJ's

I'm totally joking about having his future set. I don't care what he decides to do in the future as long as he has a heart for Jesus. Everything else is secondary.

Happy Two Months Kiddo!

Austin Brynn-

You are two months old! On one hand is seems like you were just born yesterday. On the other hand it seems like you've always been a part of us. I took you to the doctor for your check up yesterday. You did great! You got your shots and only cried for about 2 seconds. I'm not going to lie...the needles were HUGE. I cried for longer than 2 seconds but eventually recovered. Here are a few things about you:
-You weigh 12 lbs. 12 oz.
-You are 23 1/2 inches long
-You are in the 75th percentile for height and weight. Perfectly proportional!
-You are wearing 0-3 month clothes and 3-6 month pajamas.

-I found out yesterday that you like to look at yourself in the mirror.

-You played Jesus this weekend in the Living Christmas Tree. You stole the show! During one part, Joseph lifted you up in the air. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. But, of course, you were fine.

-You are starting to enjoy your swing more. We put you in it this morning and you spent a good twenty minutes talking to the monkey, elephant, and turtle on your mobile. What fun friends!
-You already are pulling up your knees when I put you on your stomach. Unfortunately you hate tummy time with a passion so it never lasts long.

-You have the most adorable smile. Your Auntie KK and Aunt Kara took these pictures this weekend. You truly are the cutest thing I have ever laid my eyes on.

We love you so.

Mobile

We put Austin in his crib last night for the first time and turned on his mobile. He laid there for almost an hour just watching. It was so precious. Here's a video of our sweet boy. Make sure your volume is up!

I just can't get enough of him!
